The rationale for undertaking the study is due to the useful of microteaching as a teaching practice among pre service music teachers before they are facing with real teaching environment. Pre service music teachers were experienced microteaching in certain courses as an assessment for certain courses during their studying. This study is examining the effectiveness of microteaching experience among pre service music teachers during their practicum in secondary school. This study aims to discover the perceptions on microteaching among the pre service music teachers’ during practicum teaching for the first time as a real teacher in school. As perceived from microteaching, pre service more knows about teaching skills from microteaching. A qualitative survey approach was used to collect and analyse the pre service music teachers’ experiences toward microteaching in their practicum. It also aimed to understanding the perceptiveness, opinions, teaching knowledgeable in practicum teaching using the knowledge and teaching skills from microteaching experience. These studies also determine the useful of microteaching to generate the teaching idea during practicum teaching.
