Summary:This study was done to determine the problems faced by pupils in years 4 Arif in playing recorders, researchers have found that some students do not master the skills of reading notation song correctly and well. They failed to make the fingering recorders and blowing with proper pic and good technique. This is evidenced by the results of practical tests play recorders provided by the researcher to five pupils from Year five Arif, the Respondent cannot play recorders with the right pic.To produce tone with good quality is dependent on the five ways of techniqeus: posture, embouchure, tonguing, breathing and fingering. All these techniques are very helpful in producing a tone of good quality. The study found, technique drills are very effective in improving student skills. Results of the study also found that successful students apply the techniques of playing the right and produce a good tone while playing recorders.
