Summary:The purpose of this research study is to extend the information that there is Tritone Substitution in improvisation. Tritone Substitution is one of the essential tools that can be applied to change the overall timbre and color of original harmonies. For the purpose of this fundamental research topic, I have focused on improvisation analysis based on two tunes: Anthropology and Moose The Mooche by Charlie Parker, which were composed over rhythm changes progression. Charlie Parker is one of the most legendary and influential jazz players who had introduced revolutionary harmonic ideas including a tonal vocabulary employing 9ths, llths, and 13ths of chords rapidly implied passing chords and the employment of the new variation of altered chords and harmonic substitutions.
