Summary:ISRA is one of the research institutions that conducted research on Islamic finance included Islamic banking and received many awards based on their performance. The purpose of this study was to analyse the importance of research management in Islamic banking at ISRA. This research aimed to study the management in Islamic perspective, research management in ISRA in Islamic banking and the improvement for research management in Islamic banking at ISRA. These respondents were researchers from Research Affairs Department (RAD) which were the Head of Quality Assurance Office, senior researcher, researcher which often giving the briefing about ISRA to any institutions and researcher from Islamic banking unit. The Tandom interview was conducted to these four respondents with structured questions. Overall, this study shows respondents agreed that research management in Islamic banking is importance to academicians, practitioners, students and publication company. The research suggested that ISRA should have enough manpower to avoid the overlap work and having a proper database system for storing all document about ISRA's findings. Therefore, ISRA should ensure that they maintained the excellent quality of findings in Islamic banking to be the premier Shari'ah research centre in Islamic finance as their own vision.
