In business, it includes the activities of purchasing, materials movement through the manufacturing process and distributing them to the customers. . Logistics is one of the success factors for any organizations and also it could be the silent killer to the company. In millennium age and the digital era, logistics is not left alone to survive with both Information and technology influences. Globalization is a requirement for logistics activities to be reliable, accurate and flexible of its operational activities. Logistics Information System basically comprises the issue of Information management as a tool to organize such activities in logistics. There have been a few models of the Logistics Information System introduced by academicians and also practitioners. All of them would be competitive solutions of producing a suitable prototype for the needs of the company like PERNEC. |
