This thesis focuses on the evaluation of pedestrian sidewalk towards supporting world class city in Kuala Lumpur. The aim of this research is to evaluate safety, urban amenities and obstruction on pedestrian sidewalk at study areas in order to supporting “World Class City” in Kuala Lumpur based on the respondents walking experience. The methodology of this study used quantitative approach involves collecting and converting data into a numerical form. In this study, the observational method (sketching for planes method SFPM) was conducted specifically at three areas which are Jalan Masjid India, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, and Pasar Seni (Central Market) that represent Kuala Lumpur according to KLSP 2020 as supporting the quantitative results. The findings of this study indicated that most or majority of respondents were agreeing that element of safety, urban amenities and obstruction on the sidewalk need to be improves in order to support world class city in Kuala Lumpur. Therefore, in order to avoid inefficient efforts to continue and to supporting as a “World Class City”, this thesis explain the key findings from the research revealed that safety, urban amenities and obstruction factors have significant relationship with the improvements on the sidewalk at study areas.
