The option utilizes data provided for the economic assessment option together with data on flood control projects costs to determine a system which maximizes net benefits with or without a specified degree of protection level for the components. The method selected to overcome the flooding problem is deepening and widening of the Batu Asah River. But this has been a prefeasibility study to examine options in a broad sense and to establish a basis for further investigation.
