| Summary: | Supervisor Selection System is a system that manages and monitors the student in finding data supervisor information that is appropriate with the title. The goal of this project is to develop from the manual way in finding data supervisor information to developing the computerized system. The objectives of this research are to identify the user requirement of Supervisor Selection System phase, to design Supervisor Selection System based on requirement with keyword extraction technique phase and to develop the prototype of Supervisor Selection System phase. The research is being done in five phases. The first phase is problem identification and planning phase. Next, requirement gathering phase and requirement analysis phase. Then, design phase and development phase. There are two types of users for the system. There are admin and student. Admin will communicate by managing all the information which is student, supervisor and title. Admin can update, delete, view and add all the information. While student will communicate with search keyword in order to get thesis title and also the information about the supervisor that supervised the title. The basis of this project is to produce a prototype of the online supervisor system using keyword extraction technique. The title will be analyzed in order to get the keyword. The frequent words in all the title gathered will be used as a keyword. Hence, the effective use of online supervisor could possibly improve the way for students in finding supervisor information. Hence, it will led student in finding the appropriate supervisor that is related to their title. Besides, student will be acquainted whether their title has been done by the previous student, from that they can make the thesis as a reference in doing their research and also can improve the thesis project. |
