Summary:The project is titled Learning Tajweed for Children Using Active Learning Approach. The project will use active learning approach in the teaching process. Nowadays, there are many ways to make learning more interesting. One of the ways is through multimedia technology. This is because through multimedia technology, elements like video, animation, graphics, audio and texts can be incorporated. With this advancement in technology, children have more ways to learn about tajweed. Tajweed is rules of reading Al-Quran with proper pronunciation of even letters according to where the letters are supposed to be emitted(makhraj) and accomplished together with laws and appearances of each letters. The type of tajweed that is covered for this application is "izhar halqi". The project is implemented in Bahasa Malaysia. The project is a computer-aided learning (CAL) for school children in a range of 7 to 10 years old who already know how to read Quran. This application can be distributed on CDs. It is also suitable for teachers to use it in class to teach their students as a supporting material.
