Summary:The name of this project is Designing Courseware for Learning Alphabets Using Sign Language. This project was used Attention, Relevance, Confidence and Satisfaction (ARCS) Motivational Design Model as a model to design the courseware by applying attention element. The purpose of this project is to design courseware for learning alphabets using sign language in order to communicate with deaf children. Qualitative methods such as interviews and observation were used to help understand user requirements for the courseware. The courseware was developed by using Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, SWiSH Max 4 and Adobe Photoshop CS5 tools. The result shows that the courseware was successful developed in given time and was demonstrate to the stakeholders which is teachers from Sekolah Pendidikan Khas Selangor (SKPK) Section 18, Shah Alam. The significances of this project are to make the society more alert and focus on alphabets learning and able to memorize alphabets using sign language in attractive ways. Another significant is to help instructor or teacher to learn alphabets using sign language and create awareness to developer about the ability of disable children. Lastly, this courseware are giving the opportunity to the parent n learning sign language and become as an instructor at home to guide their children.
