The aim of this study is to assess Diabetes Type 2 patient’s behaviour and worry related to fear of hypoglycaemia effect, which will give some insight to health practitioner on Fear of Hypoglycemia Effect of diabetes in order to improve the management and proper treatment of Diabetes Type 2 patients. The data was collected by self administered questionnaires. The questionnaire consists of two sections which are socio-demographic information and behaviour and worry related to fear of hypoglycaemia effect questionnaire. A total of 60 respondents among Diabetes Type 2 patients completed the survey. The statistical analyses used were descriptive statistics and non-parametric Mann-Whitney, Kruskal Wallis, Chi- Square and Fishers test. Generally, Diabetes Type 2 patients have high score on fear towards hypoglycaemia effect. The comparison of fear towards hypoglycaemia effect of diabetes according to patients’ socio-demographic characteristics showed that patients who were female, older, more educated, longer duration of disease and treated with insulin has higher extend of behaviour and worry related to fear of hypoglycaemia compared to patients who were male, younger, less educated, short duration of disease and treated with oral hypoglycaemic agents. However, there were no significant differences when comparing behaviour and worry related to fear of hypoglycaemia according to marital status.
