Summary:Industrial training is a sequence of planned coursework with the objective to gain knowledge on the issues in industries. Alternatively, a grading system is a process of giving evaluation whether it is objective or subjective, through observation or submission of work. Grading system in industrial training is an evaluation done by a preceptor incharge for the trainee during the whole duration of training. A survey has been done to assess the perception of implementation of grading system during industrial training. Questionnaire was distributed to different independent group of respondents, industry and student. The close ended question with Likert Scale answer ranging from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree" were distributed in order to assess their perspective. Result from this study indicates that, the grading system put the student in pressure condition to complete the industrial training excellently. All respondent also agree that the system implemented is fair and the grading system process is dependable. The grading system is proved to be a good method to increase student motivation, performance and behavior during the industrial training. This study also has successfully proven that the grading system is a good course for student development.
