To analyze traffic is by analyzing the protocols in the traffic. For several years, there were protocol analyzer or packet analyzer or also known as sniffer can be used for that purposes. This project uses Ethereal as a protocol analyzer. There are several methods of capturing packet and these methods will be discussed. Switch and hub have different characteristics and thus can affect traffic performance on data network.
