By adopting the appropriate leadership styles, leaders can affect employee motivation. Fifthly two employee at Pendang District Religious Office in Kedah Darul Aman participated in this study. Three types of leadership styles, namely, transformational, transactional and Laissez faire leadership were found to have direct relationships with employees motivation. The results showed that transformational leadership style has a stronger relationship with employee motivation. This implies that transformational leadership was deemed suitable for managing government organizations.
