Summary:The purpose of this study is to make a detailed evaluation characteristics and summary of teaching challenges for the 1-3 grades of the Central Conservatory of Music's external grade examination repertoire. Additionally, the main purpose of this study is to investigate how the Central Conservatory of Music's extramural music examination system is structured and why it is organized in this way. It aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the grading system of the Central Conservatory of Music. The study will used secondary data collection method, analyze the challenges of teaching and performing the repertoire for grades 1-3 in the extramural exam system. And to Repertoire analysis of textbooks for grades (1-6) and Central Conservatory of Music's external grade examination (1-9). It will provide a comprehensive analysis and understanding of the examination content's importance and difficulty, identify teaching challenges, and propose evaluation standards for different certificate levels to assist teachers in their actual teaching. The study will also provide a comprehensive introduction to the examination system, allowing more scholars and teachers to understand the Central Conservatory of Music's examination system. The research findings show that the Central Conservatory of Music's extramural piano examination textbooks have a diverse selection of styles, but a limited number of pieces. The examination outline lacks information on teaching evaluation standards. Grade 1 is an introductory stage with relatively simple forms, mostly in one-part forms or binaries, while grade 3 is a higher level that includes more complex ternaries and requires more sophisticated handling of voice parts and musical expression. The identified teaching priorities and challenges can provide teachers and students with a reference during the learning process.
