This led to restrictions on their appearance on government media channels such as RTM radio and TV. The objective of this study is to investigate the scenario and development of Malaysian rock culture from 1980 to 2020 and analyze the differences in the development of rock culture in Malaysia between time periods. The study will be conducted qualitatively to gain an understanding of similar situations. Qualitative research is the process of collecting non -numerical data. It can be used for social, cultural, or personal experience studies, qualitative case studies are a well -established method. It will help in the assessment of Rock Music culture in the 80s to 20s in Malaysia. This strategy will help gain opinions and determine the number of individuals in Malaysia who are knowledgeable about Rock Music culture. The main focus in this research is to get clear data on Rock culture in Malaysia. Few other social developments have had the same impact on daily life as rock. It influenced both black and white musicians to break into the mainstream music industry.
