الملخص: | Zakat is one of the tools in the pillar of Islam to eradicate poverty. The institutions of zakat are responsible for managing the collection and distribution of zakat in Malaysia with the issue of poverty is not yet to be resolved. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the role of zakat institutions which in this study are specific to LZS-MAIS (Selangor) and PPZ-MAIWP (Wilayah Persekutuan) in eradicating poverty level in Malaysia. The quantitative method was employed in this study to conduct a survey on the roles of zakat institutions in eradicating poverty by distributing questionnaires to people in Kajang, Selangor, and Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. The significance of the results for this research is to seek more understanding of the role of zakat institutions in eradicating poverty in Malaysia. |
