Description
Summary:The fertility rate become important issues and major factor to Malaysia rate. Fertility measured by total fertility rate (TFR) declined dramatically for over the last three decades in Malaysia. The fertility rate in Malaysia is expected to continue declining. This study was conducted to examine the fertility rate in Malaysia. The data was obtained from Department of Statistics Malaysia, Official Portal. For this project, two method was used to estimate the data on fertility rate in Malaysia. The Least Square method and Newton method are the methods that is used in this project. By using these methods, the data of fertility rate will estimate, and the errors of each method will be compared. When the error value is lower, the accuracy becomes high. So, a method with the least error, can be concluded as the high accuracy. Based on this study, it was found that Cubic Least Square method is the best method used.
