Summary:Living in university-provided housing will make it easier for students to attend lessons and participate actively in university activities. A research was done among UiTM students who live off-campus to investigate the reasons for residing in private housing. This objective of this study is discussing about the preferences of student in choosing their accommodation and as well as the factors that influencing the student to rent a house. So the purpose of doing this research is to identified clearly each of the factors and preferences for the students to stay off campus instead of stay on campus. For this research its seeks to determine the elements that influence the non resident students in making a rental decision. The target population of this study is consists of open as well as for non-resident bachelor students of estate management at UiTM Seri lskandar in Perak. Next, this research was done by using a purposive sampling method. Because we already know who are the respondent for our research and we only focusing on bachelor of estate management students in UiTM Seri lskandar. In this research the researcher used quantitative method. Were the data are only distribute through online question and were analyzed using SPSS. So for the data analysis we only need for the descriptive analysis.
