Summary: | This research is about office layout give a big impacts towards employee morale, productivity and motivation. Office layout includes such as poorly designed workstations, unsuitable furniture, lack of ventilation, inappropriate lighting, excessive noise, insufficient safety measures in fire emergencies and lack of personal protective equipment. The main objectives is to know whether employee's productivity can be decreased due to the office layout. We are using non-academic staff in Mara of University Technology as sample for this research. Thus, we used questionnaires as our method to know whether the non academic staff in Mara of University Technology are comfortable with their current office comfort or not. In addition, this findings will let the non-academic employees in Mara of University Technology know about what factor that can contribute in their work performance. This findings may be useful to increase non-academic employees to make them work more effective and efficiently. From the population of this study, the researchers have selected 10 per cent from the 397 non-academic staff in Mara University of Technology which is about 40 peoples as a sample size. Social Science Software (SPSS) version 20 was being used to analyse the research data. From the analysis, we find that office comfort has an impact toward employee productivity. |
