| Summary: | Road is the main traffic network in Malaysia. Part of the traffic involves pedestrian. Pedestrian crossings are the critical points in the traffic network. The safety level of pedestrian depends on the type of pedestrian walkway and the crossing itself. This research is to study on pedestrian crossing within Universiti Teknologi MARA, Perak. The objective of the research is to find out whether the existing pedestrian crossing according to pedestrian safety guidelines. There are some methods in order to complete this research. To obtain data collection for the research and to get the basic information about the guidelines, the observation was carried out. From this study, it is proof that all the pedestrian crossing within UiTM (Perak) are not in proper condition in terms of the guidelines. Therefore, to improve this problem throughout the university in Malaysia, the Ministry of Higher Education should create an organization which functions to inspect the pedestrian crossing. |
