However with the various options available in Malaysia, there is no existing proper selection guideline. The selection is hinged on the familiarity factor of experienced contract personnel on a particular route. The aim of the research is to develop a structured selection guideline for the procurement of projects in Malaysia inclusive of all the selection. Selection criteria were identified from extensive literature review and the relevancy of these criteria were verified with local construction industry players through semi-structured interviews.
