Neurofeedback training has been widely applied to people with neurological disorders, however, there is limited study on using neurofeedback training for peak performance in normal people. There are few studies by using neurofeedback training for peak performance, such as in sports and surgery training. In this study, researcher focuses on mathematics because of the importance of mathematics and also due to mathematics situation in Malaysia. Other than that, alpha-theta protocol was used for neurofeedback training. Few assessments had been done before and after having neurofeedback training such as by looking at spectral analysis from qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram) assessment and also from mathematics score. Results showed that children who experienced neurofeedback training have greater mathematics score and have greater IQ score. Other than that, participants showed that by having alpha-theta training, participants successfully reduce their high beta better than increasing alpha and increasing theta. Hence, this result showed children who perform better score are children who are able to control their emotion before having a cognitive task. To conclude, this study is important for educators and parents recognize neurofeedback training as one of the way to help their children or student. Apart from that, it is good for practitioners to help them decide the best protocol for their client.
