| Summary: | The purpose of this study is to study the syntax and semantic aspects of Entelah Iban. The objective of this study is to look at the frequency of vocabulary use, to analyze the phrase names and phrases, and to interpret the main vocabulary meaning of swallow meaning and deep meaning in the Iban language. The research method used to complete this study is exploratory research. Researchers also use corpus data which consists of magazines, books and blogs as research data. The findings of the show that the frequency of the use of vocabulary in the corpus was the most common, consisting of nouns, verbs and followed by conjunction. Even the frequency of using animal, plant and equipment elements also shows a lot of frequency. In addition, in terms of the noun phrases and verbs phrases in the corpus, it is possible to use the noun phrase function as the subject and predicate in the sentence. While the verbs phrases also present in the front, middle and at the end of the sentence. The phrasebook in the puzzle corpus shows consecutive use in a sentence. In terms of the swallow meaning and deep meaning in the corpus of studies, it is found to be based on the characteristics of objects or equipment that can be extracted into the entelah Iban. The findings from the findings also found that the vocabulary used in Iban was influenced by the way of life and around the Iban community in the past. |
