Summary:The main objective of this study was to determine the level of job satisfaction among secondary school Islamic Religious teachers in the district of Pekan and Rompin in Pahang Darul Makmur. Seven demographic factors were studied to identify significant differences in job satisfaction. These factors were age, sex, marital status, academic qualification, professional qualification, teaching experience and income. Job satisfaction factors such as present state of job, income, promotion perspective, supervision, peer assistance and the job in general were also studied. 92 respondents representing 89.3% of the total population of secondary school religious teachers in the district were involved the study. "Job Descriptive Index" instrument was used to measure the level of job satisfaction among the teachers.
