总结:This research is a study of the teaching of Qur’anic and Sunnah-based knowledge in the secondary religious schools in Pahang that use the Al-Azhar curriculum. The purpose of this research is to identify the curriculum’s suitability with Malaysian students as well as problems faced by the students and to provide solutions for the said problems. Several methods were utilized to collect data, including questionnaire, interview, document analysis and observation. The result shows that the curriculum has the potential to produce students who are good in behavior, and able to serve for religion, race and nation. Nevertheless, it needs to be reformed and revised in certain aspects such as the level of language used, syllabus of subjects, modes and methods of assessment and evaluation to make it more suitable for Malaysians students.
