Department of Negeri Sembilan. The Mufti Department of Negeri Sembilan is one of the
Mufti Departments that deal with Fatwa on Taṣawwuf. The study discussed the important
roles of the Negeri Sembilan Mufti towards tariqah taṣawwuf, such as development of
knowing tariqah taṣawwuf, its characteristics, practicing, confirming, and implementing the
accurate tariqah taṣawwuf towards Muslim community in Negeri Sembilan. The study used
descriptive method and interpretive investigation towards the Mufti Department managing
the Fatwā of tariqah taṣawwuf in Negeri Sembilan. The research site is Negeri Sembilan,
Malaysia, focussing on the Mufti Department of Negeri Sembilan, and one of the shaykh of
Tariqah which is Tariqah Naqsyabandiyyah Khalidiyyah. The results of the study indicated
that; firstly, one of the most important results of the study is systematic administration of
the Fatwā by the Mufti Department of Negeri Sembilan indicate the positive development
of the Fatwā on taṣawwuf guidelines in Negeri Sembilan. Secondly, according to the latest
record in 2019, a total of 14 Tariqahs have been placed under the management of the tariqah
taṣawwuf of Negeri Sembilan. Thirdly, all the tariqah registered in Negeri Sembilan
followed the teaching of Shariah Islamiyyah. Recommendations of the study include;firstly,
the effort by the Negeri Sembilan Mufti Department is expected to be an example for other
states in Malaysia to keep all the tariqah taṣawwuf propagated in accordance with Islamic
law, the principles of the Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah, as well as away from deviant beliefs.
Secondly, the Negeri Sembilan Mufti Department has not been explored deeply on its role
in the tariqah taṣawwuf. The role of this Mufti Department is important to ensure that the
knowledge of tariqah is more known for the public especially by the Mufti Departments in
other states. Thirdly, the results of this study are also expected to be used as guidelines to
answer the disputes and the charge of the parties who disputed the view with the group of
tariqah taṣawwuf regarding to the practice contained in the tariqah. |
