Description
Summary:The study aims to identify a model for teaching the Arabic language to non-Arabic speakers. The study is descriptive and design based in nature. The problem of the study lies in the lack of a model for teaching Arabic sentences to non Arabic speakers, a model that caters for the need of non Arabic speakers at school. This renders first level learners unable to compose a simple sentence in Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Islamic School, Kombor gunjur, Gambia. The significance of the study is reflected in the assurance of the need for a model for teaching Arabic sentences which is to be integrative and suitable for students' level. The study relies on the descriptive and design based approach to build a model for teaching Arabic sentences which dully complies with this five-points model (Learners' needs, development, design, implementation, and evaluation). The study was able to create a model for teaching Arabic language sentences which is necessary as an integrated and unified model and suits first level learners in Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed Islamic School in Kombor gunjur, Gambia.
