Summary:This study analyzes the needs of Arabic language among students in the Arabic Ambassadors program which is the one of the joint programs between Malaysia Airport Holding Berhad (MAHB) and Admal Aviation College and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), to communicate with Arab tourists at the Kuala Lumpur Airport (KLIA). To analyze the needs of this language, Hutchinson and Waters's theory was adapted consisting of three elements which are necessities, lacks and wants. To achieve these goals, the study used qualitative approach by conducting group interviews with six students in the Arabic ambassadors program who on duty at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The findings shown that the Arabic Ambassadors has linguistic deficiencies while dealing with Arab tourists due to communications in different languages or dialects from their mother tongue. Furthermore, they forget Arabic vocabularies and lack of knowledge of how to give the information effectively during verbal communication with Arab tourists, The study found that the students need correct Arabic language communication as well as exposure to the use of modem Arabic and other variations of Arabic dialects.
