The researcher illustrated the contribution of Sheikh Zaid Bin Sultan’s heritage, and conducted a comparison between the ancient heritage that is based on social heritage inherited from the forefathers and the latest yield of knowledge and contemporary experiences. The problem of the research lies in the type of historical milestones during the establishment of the state of UAE and the need to identify the obstacles and disputes faced by the generation of UAE’s founders when trying to establish and achieve the federation and sustainable development according to the standards of modern states in a primitive nomadic environment, and how the federation’s establishment experience successfully handled all the disputes under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan. The leader was able to formulate the establishment of the federation between the seven emirates that make up the UAE on the 2nd of December 1971 when the sustainable development was achieved. With the help of the descriptive and analytical approach supported by the qualitative approach which includes conducting interviews with officials who witnessed and adopted the experience, the researcher discussed how sustainable development was attained in Sheikh Zayed’s heritage and how compatible were the steps of achieving the sustainable development led by the leader of the renaissance, Sheikh Zayed; while making reference to the global development indices of achieving an international sustainable development. The study concluded positive findings by analysing the accomplishments of Sheikh Zayed in the period 1971-2004 of peacefully dissolving the conflicts among tribes in UAE, attaining the national unity and social consent among the elements of the community, and the political consent among the leaders of tribes in the seven emirates for the sole purpose of achieving a comprehensive, stable and sustainable development. |
