Summary:The importance of knowing the Al-Asalib An-Nahwiyyah (Language Style) according to real situations based on the communicative approach is one of the essential elements in using Arabic language correctly and fluently. The use of appropriate Al-Asalib An-Nahwiyyah (Language Style) needs to follow specific needs and contexts to ensure the delivery and understanding of messages between the sender and the receiver. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify these Al-Asalib An-Nahwiyyah (Language Style) according to the communicative approach, using textbooks used in the standard curriculum for elementary schools in Malaysia for Arabic language from fourth to sixth grade as a sample. This study is based on a descriptive-analytical approach that focuses on analyzing the content of teaching materials. The results of the study show that the most frequently used Al-Asalib An-Nahwiyyah in these textbooks are Uslub Khobari, Uslub Istifham, Uslub Nahi, Uslub Nida, Uslub Ta’ajub and Uslub Madah, presented in the form of dialogues. These styles are used to describe communicative situations in daily life that serve to convey information, reinforce, praise, congratulate, express love, invite, express sadness, joy, give advice, express curiosity, desires, and admiration. There are various communicative functions for these sentences, including referential, expressive, conative, phatic, and metalingual functions. Therefore, the study suggests several alternative communicative activities using Al-Asalib An-Nahwiyyah in textbooks according to situations, such as Storytelling, Board Games, Social Drama, Puzzle Games, and Kinect Games, to meet students' language needs more effectively and enjoyable. This study aims to raise awareness among textbook authors and to serve as a guide for them in developing communicative-based educational curricula, especially in writing Arabic language books for elementary schools, to achieve the goals outlined in the standard curriculum for elementary schools (KSSR).
