description In modern phonology the structure of Arabic words consists of several main elements namely syllables, intonation, tone, and others. The scholars have focused on correct and accurate pronunciation of words which is a very important function in Arabic. The construction of Arabic words consists of several syllables that play an important role in the pronunciation of Arabic, namely consonants and vowels. However, Arabic writing differs from pronunciation according to Arabic syllables. Through this study we showed that previous studies have focused on the production of letter sounds (makhraj), in contrast to what is applied in modern phonology, sound vibrations thrown into the air (acoustics) and phonetic sounds heard through the eardrum which studies phonological aspects of sound as well as physical and auditory phonology. The study of Arabic syllables is the most important study of phonological aspects. Our study is a study focused on the science of phonology, as previous scholars limited their study in highlighting the descriptive aspects of phonetic sounds by sacrificing the syllable aspects of Arabic word construction. Arabic syllables consist of five syllables. Based on the above, this research aims to analyze the Arabic syllable method in the study of Tajweed (recitation of the Holy Quran) knowledge while revealing the syllable changes found in Tajweed science and an importance of studying syllable in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. This is a library study sourced from books, articles, journals and written materials for analysis and description. It is based on inductive analysis methods to extrapolate and extract the types of Arabic syllables mentioned in Surah Al-Mulk and various verses of the Qur'an based on phonological science. Then describe the syllable changes that occur in word structure. Findings of the study through the analysis of Arabic syllables in Surah Al-Mulk and various verses of the Qur'an which includes aspects of the Science of Tajweed where it can help in the reading and pronunciation of syllables that are correct and accurate in terms of aspects of reading the Qur'an. However, the phonemic syllables tend to be more common in use for the first three syllables, while the others are suitable to the context of intonation in Ilmu Tajweed according in signs of waqf and wasl.
