Summary: | The study aimed of identifying the reality of the current administrative practices of principles and their assistants within the framework of the economic knowledge in the Sultanate of Oman , and on the importance of the future leadership roles , as well as identifying the differences in evidence in the current administrative practices and the future leadership roles within the framework of the economic knowledge which are affected by different aspects (gender, age, academic qualification, district, years of experience, job title). The study sample consisted of (316) principles and their assistants from both genders selected randomly from basic education schools in (North Batina, Muscat and Al-Braimi) regions in Sultanate of Oman for the academic year 2017-2018. The study was based on descriptive analytical method. The study used a question which included two domains. The first is the current administrative practices domain which was divided into three fields : participatory management, management of creative thinking and total quality management. The second domain was future leadership roles domain. After analyzing the statistical results by using a group of statistical means such as Averages, stander deviations, (T-test) on two separate groups and using (One Way ANOVA Analysis), The results of the study showed that the school principles and their assistants in basic education schools at the Sultanate of Oman are aware (very well) of the current administrative practices in their three domains, and are aware (very well) of the importance of the future leadership roles within the framework of the economic knowledge. The study also showed some differences in the current administrative practices and the future leadership roles in the study sample due to the variant of the gender for females, and the job title variant for the principal. However, no differences were shown in the current study for the variants of (age, academic qualification, educational region and years of experience. Statistical evidence differences appeared in the domain of (Creative thinking management) for the current administrative practices for the benefit of the age group (31-40) years. |
