| Summary: | This research aims to study the book “al-Muhaddith al-fasil bayn al-rawi wa al-wa’i” authored by Imam al-Hafiz, "Abi Muhammad al-Hasan bin Abd al-Rahman ibn al Khallad -Ramharmazi al-Farsi", and documenting it, and publishing it as the author intended it. The study also aims to identify the manuscripts versions existing in the libraries around the world, and to know the true value of each version. Furthermore, the study is to learn about the author's life, his scientific status in the Hadith and its sciences, and to study his methodology in the book, as studies conducted on author's life were weak, which were due lack of in-depth scientific approach, and absence of a comprehensive academic study of the author's approach in the book, but also fixed the shortcomings and some scientific, methodological and publishing errors in the available printed versions. In this study, the researcher will implement the historical approach to investigate the social and scientific life of the author as an introduction, and will apply inductive methods in extrapolating and comparing manuscripts found in libraries worldwide. The researcher will incorporate descriptive approach to describe the manuscripts comprehensively and exhaustively, and to reveal the technical and scientific aspects, explain the advantages and shortcomings, strengths and weaknesses of each version. The researcher will depend on the "Method of Investigation and Documentation (Rules and methods of researching manuscripts), to research the manuscript according to the technical research rules used in examining manuscripts, and publish it to make it more tangible and illustrative by utilizing strong scientific investigation techniques. Lastly, researcher will use the critical approach to identify correct Hadiths and their narrators. Through incorporated scientific approaches implemented in this study, a brief knowledge is obtained about this respected scholar, his manuscript versions are revealed to the contemporary Islamic scientific society, the text of the book is fully investigated, and the Islamic scientific library is enriched with proper research and suitable study in this field, while the topic had not received adequate attention and emphasize prior to this. |
