It is the house of Allah the Almighty and it is He who decides that mosques are meant for the believers of Islam and forbids the non-believers from flourishing it. However, the current living conditions of the Muslims in Singapore that are staying together among the non-Muslims, are such that mosques are placed in the middle whereas the community live around the mosque. In fact, all mosques in Singapore arc dictated by the legal system that are enacted by the secular government. In such an environment, Singapore mosques are required to interact and integrate with the community within their area. Such involvement might also include request for funding for expansion pro* while some mosques have to accede to requests made by the non-Muslims in the community. The specialty of this research lies in the subject of discussion. As far as the writer is aware, this is the first research case w h e y the issue of conducting activities in the mosque for the non-Muslims is only subjected through the opinions of Fiqh. This research aims to explain the meaning of the word Imaruh that is mentioned in the Holy Quran, Chapter of At-Taubah. At the same time, the research will explore on how far is it permissible to receive assistance from non-Muslims for mosque building and other projects, be it through monetary tams or administrative assistance. The research will also discuss about allowing non -Muslims to congregate at the Mosque. The aurthor will also discuss about Special programmes designed for the non-Muslims that are carried out in the mosques from the view of Islamic law. It is hope that the research can clarifies certain misconceptions among the Singapore Muslim community that arose from conducting these programmes in Singapore mosques. Descriptive and inductive approach is being used in this research to gather the scholar's opinions, as well as their arguments. Analytical and critical approach is used to discuss their views and their arguments to find the opinion that is the closest match with the truth and suffice the needs of the Muslim community in Singapore and their interests. Other than gathering the data and information from the library, the author had conducted interviews with people whose responsibility includes ensuring the mosque's administrative processes are carried out dutifully. The research has produced several results. One of such that is worth mentioning here is that Singapore mosques that arc built on lease land are valid to be considered as mosque, thus allowing all Islamic legal conditions on it to be established. For the case of receiving assistance from non-Muslims for the construction of mosques or other projects, whether through gifts in monetary terms, beneficiaries, blueprints of buildings or their visits to the mosque are subjected to a few conditions.
