Description
Summary:The management of multi-racial society in Malaysia is one of the major problems facing the Malaysian government and it is affecting the country's progress. Post-May 13, 1969, the Malaysian government policy has taken measures to achieve harmony among the people from all aspects, especially education. However, the historical background in Malaysia due to colonial effects created a challenge to unifying the various races in Malaysia, including education. However, there has been a difference since before independence among the Malays, Chinese, Indians and English, and still remains until today. In fact, the curriculum taught in these schools also differs in terms of the intermediate language used. The purpose of this study is to seek guidance in the Sirah Nabawiyyah on managing relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims in the field of education, as well as analyze and evaluate the efforts made by the Malaysian government on the basis of the country's education policy which has been framed, in addition, balancing efforts made in the education policy of the Government of Malaysia in the light of the prophet SAW biography and its directives, then making recommendations to improve the relationship among the races in Malaysia according to the guidance of the Sirah Nabawiyyah. The methods used in this study were inductive, namely, by obtaining data on the educational realities between Muslims and non-Muslims on educational realities in the Sirah Nabawiyyah, as well as data on efforts made by the government to unite the people in Malaysia from 1970 to 2000. It is then analyzed and evaluated to draw a general conclusion on the issues and solutions of education in Malaysia according to Sirah Nabawiyyah. The results of this study show that there are efforts made by the government to integrate ethnicity into educational reality in line with the Nabawiyyah Sirah guide, as well as some things that need to be re-evaluated by taking the guidance of the Nabawiyyah Sirah such as issues of justice and equality. This study also provides an example of the Nabawiyyah Sirah based education policy in the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims in Malaysia in the field of education in order to provide solutions to enhance the level of harmony and cohesion between ethnic groups in Malaysia.
