Tujuan kajian ini ialah meninjau pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung faktor-faktor eksogenus iaitu pengesahan guru dan keakraban pelajar serta faktor-faktor endogenus iaitu motivasi untuk mempelajari bahasa Inggeris sebagai bahasa kedua, keyakinan berkomunikasi, dan pembelajaran afektif terhadap kesediaan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggeris dalam kalangan guru-guru pelatih bahasa Inggeris dari beberapa universiti tempatan terpilih di Malaysia.
