Dengan menggunakan kaedah persampelan rawak, semua 120 pelajar dari dua buah sekolah lelaki dan perempuan dipilih untuk mengambil bahagian dalam kajian ini. Para peserta telah menggunakan sama ada koswer signaling atau koswer tanpa signaling. This study was an attempt to gain insights into effects multimedia signaling principle in a song-based courseware on different gender of students. Prior studies have shown that signaling and songs improve learning. However, there is no evidence showing effect of the combination of these two elements in improving listening skills of English language. The goal of this study was to develop a songbased courseware (SBC) to enhance listening skills that was appropriate for Form 1 students. Using random sampling method, all 120 students from two single-sex schools were chosen to participate in this study.
