Peningkatan Teknik Kemahiran Permainan Sukan Petanque Dalam Kalangan Pelajar Atlet Di IPTA
description Nowadays, technology in sport is very important. The latest developments in sports technology have created a range of efficient and modern products aimed at improving performance and sports quality.Petanque sport is one of the sports fields that have helped Malaysia to cure the name in the eyes of the world. Each year Malaysian athletes participate in various international petanque sports tournaments.Undeniable that national quality performance is still low despite a lot of money being spent.Amongst the causes include failing to set up a good strategy, exercises are less effective to highlight athlete's performance and need to be given more exposure through training. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of a sports technology, namely petanque Steady Lob,to improve the performance of shoot on the iron and pointing soft lob standing among petanque athletes. This study uses case study method conducted at Sultan Idris Education University,Tanjong Malim,Perak. All selected athletes are from petanque athletes that representing universities in the petanque tournament of Higher Education in session 2016.For this study, two groups were distributed, that is group A as control groups and group B as experimental groups, each groups consisting 33 athletes. The number of selected samples is 66 athletes representing the university in the Higher Education Institution (SUKIPT).Petanque Steady Lob has been tested repeatedly to gain credibility and reliability. The completed petanque Steady Lob has the achievement of the 0.96 Cronbatch's Alpha validity by using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).Pre-test and post-tests consist of a distance of 6 meters to 9 meters supplied with a scoring form to test the skill level of shoot on the iron and pointing soft lob standing in petanque sports. The data were obtained from the score form to be analyzed to find out the level of performance of all athletes. The findings of this study are using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) analysis. he data were analyzed descriptively that is frequency, percentage and t-test.The findings show that the performance of the experimental group using petanque Steady Lob technique is better and significantly compared to the control group that does not use petanque Steady Lob technique. The implication of this study suggests that petanque Steady Lob is a technology used as one of the petanque sports teaching and learning methods to improve the achievement of petanque athletes at the university. Overall, this study explains that the influence of technology in sports helps improve the quality of the sport.Petanque Steady Lob is an appropriate training tool and can improve the skills of petanque athletes during training.
