Defects such as chipped package, foreign particles and incomplete marking are the highest contributors of the lots requiring retaping activity. This study presents the Six Sigma analysis for the TPMS Production line of Infineon Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd to reduce its high retaping rate. The objective of the study is to investigate the root causes of the defects, propose an approach to reduce major problem in these processes and validate the effectivenes of the action proposed. The entire study was conducted using the Define-Measure-Analyse-Improve-Control (DMAIC) approach for systematic problem solving along with quality tools such as 5-Why and Pareto diagrams. The study succesfully proves that by using the six sigma methodology, the retaping rate was drastically reduced to only 20%. 2018 Thesis http://eprints.utem.edu.my/id/eprint/23955/ http://eprints.utem.edu.my/id/eprint/23955/1/Reduction%20Of%20Retaping%20Lots%20For%20TPMS%20Production%20Line%20Using%20Six%20Sigma.pdf text en 2023-09-18 validuser http://eprints.utem.edu.my/id/eprint/23955/2/Reduction%20of%20retaping%20lots%20for%20TPMS%20production%20line%20using%20Six%20Sigma.pdf text en 2023-09-18 validuser https://plh.utem.edu.my/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=114591 mphil masters Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering Salleh, Mohd Rizal
