Summary:Mathematics is often seen as a subject that is very difficult for most students to understand from then until now. The implementation of this STEM-based activity is seen to be able to attract students regardless of age because its implementation is student-centered and based on production of product. However, the STEM approach method in as a new way in teaching and learning based on 21st Century approach to train students' skills during the problem-solving process related to the real world. The implementation of STEM also requires the involvement of its 4 main disciplines, namely Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Therefore, this study was conducted to study the readiness of mathematics teachers in Malaysia to implement STEM-based mathematics teaching. A total of 137 respondents from secondary school level mathematics teachers around district of Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor were involved in answering the questionnaire that has been conducted online. The instrument used has also verified from an expert. This study was conducted using quantitative methods involving descriptive analysis methods using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23.0 data software. Analysis of the findings of the study has shown that the readiness of teachers in terms of attitude is at a positive level and the readiness of teachers in terms of knowledge and skills is at a high level. A framework for the integration of teachers' readiness to implement STEM-based mathematics teaching has also been successfully developed.
