Description
Summary:The purpose of this study is to survey trainee’s perception regarding factor-training design affecting transfer of Electronic Government Training program. The training design factor is the independent variables and transfer of training is the dependent variable. Seventy-nine trainees that had attended Electronic Government Training organized by Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara, Kampus Wilayah Selatan (IKWAS) for three intakes in year 2003 had been respondents in this study. Sixty-five respondents had responded questionnaires as an instrument. Data collected had been analyzed using SPSS 11.5 program. Two types of analysis had been applied. First, the result shows that the component of the training program as follows: principle of learning, activities, trainers, instruments, and venues are being transferred at moderate. Otherwise, training methods and duration of training are low. For transfer of training components (introduction, information technology development, basic package, and electronic communication) are being perceived transferred at moderate. The second type of analysis is statistic correlations at significant level α = 0.05. The result shows that exist a significant and strong correlation between academic education level and transfer of training (r = 0.779). Otherwise, there has no significant correlation between other demography factors and transfer of training. Finally, correlations analysis concluded that the training design factor has a strong correlation (r = 0.847) with trainer’s component influenced most transfer of training (r = 0.852).
