Computer science E-Learning is becoming more and more popular. People tend to emphasize on its benefits. In Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, students has been provided with E-Learning for both learning and communication purpose. Although, E-Learning comes woth benefits such as ability to upload notes, made any announcements, do an online test, forum discussion, blogging stuff and messaging system and unlimited access 24 hours, 7 days a week, does this mean that E-Learning is without its limitation? This present study explores the use of E-Learning for communication among the Fakulti Sains Komputerdan Sistem Maklumat(FSKSM) students. The study identifying the current E-learning limitations and also preferred communication channels are Short Messaging Services (SMS), Facebook and mobile phone. These preferred channels were recommended to be embedded or complimented in the existing E-Learning facilities in term of communication.
