Summary: | This thesis is aimed to study the pattern of Nafs among teachers of Pendidikan Islam (Islamic Eduction) in secondary schools in the district of Kota Tinggi, Johor This study used design of variance types and was carried out on 100 respondents, that is 83% of the original number of respondents of another study which used a set of questionnaires developed by the researcher consisting of six categories of nafs, namely Nafs Ammarah, Nafs Lawwamah, Nafs Mulhimah, Nafs Mutmainnah, Nafs Rodhiah and Nafs Mardhiah with the Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.916. The data obtained was analyzed using the Statistical Package For The Social Sciences (SPSS) version 15.0. The descriptive findings of the analysis shows that 100% of the respondents are at the low level of nafs Ammarah followed by nafs Lawwamah which marks 80% of the respondents at the low level, 10% at the medium level and the other 10% at the high level. As for nafs Mulhimah, 50% of the respondents are at the low level, 30% at the medium level and 20% at the high level. Nafs Rodhiah indicated the highest percentage of respondents being at the high level, that is 86% percent and 14% of the remainder at the medium level. This is followed by nafs Mardhiah which recorded 72% of the respondents are at the hight level and 28% at the medium level, whereas nafs Mutmainnah recorded 71% of the respondents at the high level and 29% at the medium level. The 1-way ANOVA test was used to observe the variances in the patterns and the demographic factor according to age, gender, marital status, education background, specialization field, and residence. The findings indicate that only nafs Rodhiah is significantly related to the education background of the respondents with the p value of =.003. |
