Summary:This study aimed to identify the personality profile of A excellence teachers in the District of Kulaijaya and the relationship with the performance of the excellence teachers. Total of 140 excellence teachers from 8 national schools in District of Kulaijaya were at random chosen as respondents for this study. This study is done by quantitative approach. Data was collected through questionnaires which was translated from The Big Five Inventory (BFI) from Janet (2006). Degree of confidence by the instrument BFI is between 0.73 and 0.80. The data collected were analyzed using ‘Statistical Packages for Social Science’ (SPSS) version 11.5 for windows. Descriptive analysis showed that excellence teachers only got one high mean that is for the trait of Agreeableness (A). Analysis also showed that the excellence teachers got average mean score for four following trait personalities consist of Conscientousness (C), Extraversion (E), Openness to Experience (O), dan Neuroticism (N). Descriptive analysis for the performance of excellence teachers also showed a percentage of 72.9% got very highly excellence, 12.9% got highly excellence, 7.9% got excellence and only 6.4% got the performance of very excellence. Pearson correlation ‘r’ was done to answer 5 study hypothesis. Finding from the study showed no significant correlation between personality profiles of excellence teachers and performance of excellence teachers.
