Summary:This research was done with the objective to identify empowerment aspects and criteria that empowered the most by schools’ Headmasters in the school management. Addition to that, this research was done to identify differences of empowerment aspects and criteria on gender and position of teachers. Also, the correlation between empowerment aspects and criteria was investigated in this research. Questionnaires were used as the research instrument and were administered to 135 primary school teachers in Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan. The questionnaires were developed by referring to research done by Ariffin Che Yahya and Ismail Abdul Hamid, and Leader Behaviour Description Questionnaire by Andrew W.Halpin. The questionnaires were found reliable with a = 0.921 in the preliminary study. Then, data collected from the research was analyzed using the version 12.0 software of Statiscal Package for Social Science (SPSS). The data analysis shows the high level of empowerment aspects of the Headmaster was found in schools. Moreover, this research found there is a significant difference between empowerment aspects and criteria on teachers’ position, but no significant difference on teachers’ gender. In addition, there is a significant correlation was found between empowerment aspects with efficiency of teachers and trust in teachers. However, the research found no significant correlation between empowerment aspects and teachers’ commitments. As a summary, this research found that empowerment has been practiced by Headmasters in their school management. This may contribute to the improvement of school’s performance if it is accomplished thoroughly and effectively.
