Summary:This study aims to examine patterns of nafs and its relationship to juvenile delinquency in a secondary school in Malacca. This research is a correlation study. Studieswasthe carried out on 80 form two students; 33 boys and 47 girls. This study uses a two questionnaire. This study was done with a Nafs Questionnairedeveloped byNorshelida(2010)with aCronbachAlpha 0.918values andMisconductQuestionnairedeveloped byMohamedAzri(2011). The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 15.0. The findings of the descriptive analysis shows a pattern that indicates Rodhiah nafs is the highest desire as owned by young people in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Katil with a mean of 3.24. The pattern of the second highest desire is nafs of Mutmainnah with a mean of 3.03. This is followed by nafs pattern of Mulhimah with a mean of 3.02. The fourth pattern of the nafs belongs to Lawwamah with a mean of 2.84. While the lower pattern is the nafs and desires of Ammarah with a mean of 2.25. Fraudulent misconduct is the highest misconducts with a mean of 1.42. The second highest misconduct with a mean of 1.33 is being impolite. This was followed by playing truant misconduct with a mean of 1.15. Misconduct in the fourth place is rude misconduct with a 1.08 mean. While the fifth is misconduct is the vandalism with a 1.07 mean. Obscene misconductisat the lowest ladder with a mean of 1.02. The correlation analysis has shown the significant relationship between nafs of Ammarah with rude misconduct with a significant value of p = 0016, irreverent misconduct with a significant value p = 0.008, misconduct or absenteeism with a significant value p = 0.000. Mean while nafs of Lawwamah has shown a significant relationship with absenteeism misconduct with a significant value ofp = 0.008.
