Summary:This study is conducted to determine the relationship between communication medium use, team cohesion and team performance. The purpose of this study is to determine whether team cohesion mediates the relationship between communication medium use and team performance at Property and Casualty Company Ltd. subbranch of Shi Jiazhuang (PICC-SJZ). The communication medium use is the independent variable of this study. The team performance is the dependent variable. Meanwhile, the team cohesion is placed as the mediator variable. Data was collected using a questionnaire composed of 43 questions measuring the three main variables of the study. 200 employees at PICC-SJZ were the respondents of the study. Descriptive analysis, such as mean and frequency were used to analysis the background information of respondents. Meanwhile, correlation test using the Pearson Correlation Coefficient was conducted to determine the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. And multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the study’s mediation hypothesis. The findings indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between communication medium use and team performance, and team cohesion was found to partially mediate the relationship between communication medium use and team performance
