Summary:Transformation in assessment occurs to improvise existing student assessment method. The transformation includes definition, focus, design, characteristic, and working culture that guarantees education quality towards first class human capital. This study was conducted to determine the level of readiness of secondary one Living Skills teachers in implementing School Based Assessment. Teachers readiness is studied in the context of knowledge, assessment skills, attitudes and changes in the implementation of improvised School Based Assessment. Population of this research are teachers teaching secondary one Living Skills. Sample of the research are three teachers from SMK Sri Tebrau. Data are collected through interview sessions. Interview session are video recorded. Data are analyzed by using method of open coding. Research findings depict that teachers are ready in the aspect of knowledge, assessment skill, attitudes and changes in the implementation even though there are changes in the module approach. This is due to the use of the same syllabus and does not affect the process of teaching and learning in the implementation of school based assessment
