This study is using a questionnaire developed by researcher using the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers (2011) and a model of knowledge management by Murray and Jennex (2005). A pilot study administered to 14 lecturers at the International Languages Teacher Training Institute yielded a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.95. The study sample comprised 218 lecturers randomly selected from three teacher training campuses in the Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpur. The collected data was analyzed using the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version 19.0 . The study demonstrated that while the level of ICT competency and knowledge management among lecturers was high, there were significant differences in their ICT competency based on their field of specialization. The study also revealed a weak to moderate relationship between the lecturers’ ICT competency and knowledge management. Basic computer literacy was identified as a predictor that influenced all three dimensions of knowledge management. In conclusion, ICT competency is found to be a significant factor contributing to improving the quality of knowledge management among lecturers in teacher training institutes
